The dazzling display, featuring hundreds of LED-equipped drones, marked the city’s latest innovation-focused event, highlighting Lugano’s ambition to become a prominent hub for digital currencies and blockchain technology.
This two-day Plan ₿ Forum featured international speakers, workshops, and panels discussing cryptocurrency and blockchain’s future role in global markets. Cyberdrone’s light show visually represented the forum’s themes, with drones flying in synchronized patterns and creating images that symbolized cryptocurrency symbols and Lugano’s skyline.
Lugano, which launched its Plan ₿ initiative last year, is positioning itself as a pioneering “crypto-friendly” city by enabling residents to conduct daily transactions in Bitcoin and Tether. The forum, organized by the city and Tether, a major blockchain-based stablecoin provider, attracted crypto industry leaders and participants worldwide.
